How to Use Writing Prompts
It is so easy to use writing prompts. Pick one. Read it, look over it, mull over it. I typically review my writing prompt and then walk away for a bit, hours or days. Then I review it again to see what ideas have sprouted in my brain. The idea might come quickly or could take days. Everyone is different.
Writing prompts are literally a prompt to your creative mind. They are ideas and suggestions for you to take and create something uniquely yours. Inspiration is what they are.

The Ins and Outs of Dairy Month
There is a special month for something every time we turn around. Because we just accept the numerous “holidays”, we end up not knowing how they came about. How did June become the official Dairy Month? According to The American Farm Bureau Federation:
June Dairy Month started out as a way to distribute extra milk during the warm months of summer. The commemoration was established in 1937 by grocer organizations sponsoring “National Milk Month.” By 1939, June became the official “dairy month” and is still celebrated today.
So, to help avoid wasting milk, a month was created where the consumption of milk is celebrated and encouraged. That means more bowls of cereal and more ice cream. I’m on board for that.
