Confession first. I didn’t read this book first. I read book one and then realized that there was a prequel. Had to read it.
Yes, this is a cozy mystery. The main character is not a detective or PI. She is a divorce lawyer who is beyond stressed. Needs a little relaxation as she rethinks her life and her future. A small town on the coast sounds great. Then she witnesses an exchange between two angry men. Then she finds a dead body. Then everyone starts to question her. Jill suddenly finds that it can be overwhelming deciding your future and ensuring you have one. Standard cozy mystery fare and still enjoyable.
The reader will find the characters to be unique and enjoyable as well. They are small towners which means drama everywhere…
